Little Village Shooting Wounds Man, 23, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Little Village wounded a 23-year-old man Sunday, police said.

At 1:57 a.m., the man was standing on the sidewalk in the 3100 block of South St. Louis Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.

He was hit in his left leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition, police said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

No one was in custody.
