CHICAGO — Three people were shot in two West Side shootings Friday afternoon, according to police.

At 12:55 p.m., an 18-year-old man was wounded in a Near West Side shooting, police said.

The man was in the 300 block of South Maplewood Avenue when a grey car drove by and someone inside began firing, police said.

He ws struck in his leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not released but police considered him to be stable.

• At 11:15 a.m., a 19-year-old man and a 23-year-old man were shot in North Lawndale, police said.

They were walking in the 1600 block of South St. Louis Avenue when shots rang out, police said.

The 19-year-old was shot in his right leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not released but police considered him to be stable.

The 23-year-old man was shot in his right knee and was also taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and was considered by police to be "stable."

No arrests have been made.
