Vincent Zarco, 26, Killed In Little Village Shooting, Officials Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Little Village left Vincent Zarco, 26, dead on Saturday morning, police said.

At 7 a.m., officers responding to a call of shots fired in the 2600 block of West 24th Street and found Zarco unresponsive with a gunshot wound in his head, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai.

Zarco, of the 2400 block of Wesley Avenue, was pronounced dead at 7:25 a.m., according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records.

Officers also saw a car driving away from the scene and pulled it over, police said. Someone threw a gun out of the window of the car and officers found it, police said. Two people from inside the car were taken in for questioning.

Zarco was a documented gang member, police said.
