CHICAGO — A Little Village man shot in early October has died from his injuries, authorities confirmed Friday.
Tony Hussaini, 29, was with a 30-year-old woman at 7:18 a.m. on Oct. 1 in the 2500 block of South Sacramento Avenue when they were shot, said Officer Kevin Quaid, a Chicago Police spokesman.
Hussaini was about to enter a car the woman was in when another car drove up and someone inside began firing, Quaid said.
They were both struck in their chest and arm and managed to get themselves to Mount Sinai Hospital, where they were listed in critical condition, Quaid said.
Hussaini, of the 2200 block of South Homan Avenue, died early Thursday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. He died from complications of his mutliple gunshot wounds, the medical examiner ruled.
He was a documented gang member, police said.
No arrests have been made.
