WRIGLEYVILLE — The game is on.

No, not that game. Even before the Chicago Cubs faced off against the San Francisco Giants Friday, a Cubs fan has created a parody of Super Mario Bros. game that is sure to get you in the spirit for the National League Division Series.

YouTube creator Johnny Fitz Live shared Super Cubbie Bros. Friday, and fans of the 1985 classic video game will definitely appreciate his version of the game.

In the 46-second video, Mario is dressed in blue and white and runs past the city skyline as he stomps Goombas who, appropriately, are clad in Giants baseball hats. He drinks magical cans of Old Style before a traipse past the ole' troughs.

He finishes up by pulling down the Giants flag to raise the retired jersey numbers and a "Hey Hey" banner before journeying into the majestic castle that is Wrigley Field.

Check out the video here:

It's not the first Cubs tribute from Johnny Fitz Live, who professes to "believe sports and all things nerdy can co-exist in a way that brings out the best of each."

Fitz describes himself as a 30-year-old Chicago sports fan who runs an ad agency by day and creates his YouTube videos in his free time.

His other work includes a Chicago Cubs version of Punch Out, which he released ahead of the Cubs' National League Championship Series last year:

There's also a spoof of Duck Hunt that Fitz created at the start of the 2015 postseason.

Only instead of ducks, well ...

The Cubs and Wrigley Field are 95 percent owned by a trust established for the benefit of the family of Joe Ricketts, owner and CEO of DNAinfo.com. Joe Ricketts has no direct involvement in the management of the iconic team.
