CHICAGO — A 28-year-old man was shot to death in Little Village Sunday afternoon, according to police.

The man was in the 2000 block of South Homan Avenue when at 4 p.m. officers found him suffering from a gunshot wound, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He had been shot in the back, Tannehill said, and was pronounced dead on the scene. The man was identified as Lazerrick Ratliff, of the 5000 block of West West End Avenue, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Ratliff was pronounced dead at 4:42 p.m. and an autopsy showed he died of multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.

No further information is known because no one else appears to have witnessed the shooting, Tannehill said.
