Green City Market
RAVENSWOOD — Fall yields some of the best bounty from local farms, so the Ravenswood Farmers Market is extending its run through the end of October.
The market will continue operating 4 p.m to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays, 4900 N. Damen Ave., through Oct. 26, organizers announced.
In addition to farm stands, the market features live music and craft and science experiment tents for kids.
Openings are available for guest vendors. Local retailers, musicians, nonprofits and health and wellness providers can apply online.
Parents will want to plan ahead for a pair of upcoming performances by popular children's musician Laura Doherty, set for 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 21 and Oct. 12.
