RIVER NORTH — A new steakhouse focused on mixing and matching smaller cuts of beef opens Tuesday in River North.
GT Prime opens Tuesday at 707 N. Wells St., according to a news release. Run by the Michelin-recognized GT Fish & Oyster nearby, the restaurant will serve lots of four- and eight-ounce cuts meant for sharing.
"I wanted to create a steakhouse that reflects the way I like to eat meat," chef Giuseppe Tentori said in a statement.
The menu includes a "Carnivore Platter" with six different cuts of meat, veal cheek with lemon grits, and stuffed quail pot pie. The restaurant will also serve at least 30 different wines by the glass.
GT Prime will be open from 4:30 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Monday, 4:30 to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and 4:30 p.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
