LINCOLN PARK — Today, DePaul University's campus is filled with tech-savvy students whose slim smart phones and laptops are always at the ready. But in the 1980s, the computers (and many of the hairstyles) were HUGE.

At least that's how it seems in an old DePaul promotional video we stumbled across.

Michael Kendall, a junior at DePaul at the time, hosts the extremely '80s video that features some pretty sweet saxophone music (and outfits).

Here are some of Kendall's best lines:

• As Kendall puts a VHS tape into the machine (super '80s!), he says, "Let's go to the video tape! That's television talk. I learned it here."

• "I know what you're thinking ... DePaul is in Chicago, and Chicago is a big city, right? Don't you love cities? Just like small towns, only more people!"

• When talking about the "L," Kendall says, "We like to call it the green limousine. It's green, it's safe and, like good SAT scores, it gets you to DePaul."

• Before jumping in Lake Michigan, Kendall says, "There's a beach in Chicago ... I still can't believe it!"

• "The sun in the sky, the rain and the ocean, Chicago and DePaul ... (shudders) Gives you goose bumps just thinking about it!"
