WEST LOOP — Two new hotels are slated to open on North Jefferson Street in the West Loop later this year.

With construction almost complete, the Hampton Inn, at 116 N. Jefferson St., and Homewood Suites, at 118 N. Jefferson St., are planned in a 23-story tower near downtown. The two hotel project is tentatively slated to open in October, said Tricia Terkeurst, director of sales and marketing at Hampton Inn by Hilton and Homewood Suites by Hilton.

The Hampton Inn hotel will include 210 rooms and Homewood Suites 128 rooms. Both are in walking distance of the Ogilvie Transportation Center and Union Station and are about a block from the CTA's Clinton "L" stop on the Green and Pink lines.

The hotels are now accepting reservations for Nov. 20 and beyond, according to the Hilton website.

Developed by Jupiter Realty, the hotel project includes an indoor pool, garden terrace, restaurant and 117 parking spaces, according to city permits.

The West Loop is home to the Crowne Plaza Chicago Metro Downtown and Soho House Chicago. A 119-room Nobu Hotel on Randolph, a 159-room Ace Hotel on Morgan Street, a 175-room Hoxton Hotel on Lake Street, a 142-room hotel by Equinox fitness clubs on Randolph, a 20-story extended stay hotel on Lake Street developed by Shapack Partners and an 11-room bed and breakfast on Washington are all under construction or in the works.
