CHICAGO — A shooting in Little Village killed Tykina Ali, 20, on Tuesday, officials said.
About 5 p.m., Ali was the passenger in a car driving in the 2600 block of South Kedzie Avenue when someone in another car fired shots, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
Ali was hit in her head. She was taken to West Suburban Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, Amezaga said. Ali was pronounced dead at 6:09 p.m. and an autopsy showed she died of a gunshot wound in her head in a homicide.
No one was in custody.
