CHICAGO — A 20-year-old man was shot in a Pilsen attack early Monday, according to police.

The man was in the 1600 block of West 18th Street at 4:56 a.m. Monday when shots rang out, police said. He was hit in his armpit and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not released but police considered him to be stable.

The man is a documented gang member and was being uncooperative with detectives, police said.
