Near West Side Shooting Kills Alfonso Kyles, 31, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 31-year-old man was fatally wounded in a Near West Side shooting early Sunday, according to police.

The man was found unresponsive at 3 a.m. in the 2100 block of West Adams Street, police said.

He had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The man has been identified as Alfonso Kyles of the 4900 block of South Laflin Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

No arrests have been made and no further information is available, according to police.
