Gwen Stefani Spotted Dining at West Loop Restaurant

By Stephanie Lulay | August 9, 2016 1:00pm

WEST LOOP — A-list actor Robert De Niro and best-selling singer-songwriter Adele aren't the only two celebrities who have been spotted in the West Loop recently.

Singer Gwen Stefani is hip to the "Best Loop," too. On Friday night, the former No Doubt frontwoman and solo artist was spied having dinner with her three sons, Zuma, Apollo and Kingston, and other family and friends at RM Champagne Salon in the West Loop.

The songstress hosted a family-style dinner in the courtyard that included oysters (it was National Oyster Day, after all), and Stefani was seen Snapchatting throughout the meal, a rep for RM Champagne confirmed.

Stefani was in town for a show in south suburban Tinley Park on Saturday.

According to her Snapchat feed, Stefani also ordered in Giordano's pizza and during the lengthy dinner in the West Loop she introduces her band and dancers one-by-one. Noticeably missing? Stefani's boyfriend, country singer and "The Voice" star Blake Shelton.

Deep dish must be a favorite of Gwen's — she also scored the Chicago staple when she headlined Riot Fest last summer.

RM Champagne, at 116 N. Green St., opened in 2012 and launched seasonal sidewalk cafe Expat in 2015.

The West Loop has recently welcomed a number of stars in the red-hot neighborhood.

In June, De Niro was in the neighborhood to break ground on the new Nobu Hotel project on Randolph. The planned hotel at Peoria and Randolph streets will bring more than 100 new hotel rooms and a 10,000-square-foot restaurant and rooftop terrace to Randolph's restaurant row.

In July, Adele told her 20,000 fans dined at Chef Stephanie Izard's Girl & the Goat on Randolph during her United Center concert in Chicago.
