CHICAGO — Eight people, including two teenage boys and a 51-year-old man, were wounded in shootings around the city between Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning, police said.

• Most recently, at 12:18 a.m. Wednesday morning, a 36-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk in the 1100 block of East 82nd Street in Avalon Park when a man shot at him, according to a police incident report.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center with gunshot wounds in his left arm, left leg and abdomen, police said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

• Also at 12:18 a.m., a 51-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk in the 5200 block of West Polk Street in Austin when two men walked up and robbed him at gunpoint, police said.

One of the robbers shot the man in his leg before they fled with his belongings, police said.

The man was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was considered "stable," police said.

• At 12:17 a.m., a 48-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk in the 8900 block of South Commercial Avenue in South Chicago when someone shot at him from a passing silver sedan, police said.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was "stable" after being treated for a gunshot wound in his lower left leg, police said.

• At 11:41 p.m. Tuesday night, a 25-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded in West Town.

• At 11:13 p.m., a 32-year-old man was shot in his chest and left wrist in the 1900 block of East 81st Street in South Chicago, police said.

The man's friends brought him to South Shore Hospital, where he was stabilized before being transferred to Stroger Hospital, police said.

Police could not immediately provide any other information on the shooting.

• Between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tuesday night, two teenage boys were shot and wounded in different parts of the city, police said.

One boy, 15, was shot in his neck in Logan Square.

The other boy, 14, was shot in his leg on a porch two blocks from the Obama family home in Kenwood.

• At 5:08 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in his stomach in the 2800 block of North Austin Avenue in Belmont Cragin, according to Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was brought to Loyola Hospital, where he was considered "stable," Alfaro said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

Police could not immediately provide any other information on the shooting.

No one is in custody, police said.
