UKRAINIAN VILLAGE — A 25-year-old man was in serious condition after being shot in the Ukrainian Village late Tuesday night, police said.

At 11:41 p.m., the man was walking on the sidewalk in the 2300 block of West Chicago Avenue when someone shot at him from a light-colored sedan, according to a police incident report.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital after being shot in his chest, left wrist and right armpit, police said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

No one is in custody, police said.
