ENGLEWOOD — A 15-year-old boy was shot twice in his buttocks while walking in Englewood late Wednesday morning, police said.

At 11:15 a.m., the boy was walking on the sidewalk in the 1400 block of West 72nd Street when a man shot at him from a nearby street corner, according to Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The boy was taken to Comer Children's Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.

The boy was the third person under the age of 16 shot in Chicago since 9 p.m. Tuesday night.

A 14-year-old was shot in Kenwood late Tuesday, and before that, a 15-year-old was shot in his neck in Logan Square.

No one is in custody, police said.
