15-Year-Old Boy Critically Injured In 2 P.M. Pilsen Shooting

PILSEN — A 15-year-old boy was critically injured in a shooting Thursday in Pilsen. 

At about 2 p.m. Thursday, a 15-year-old boy was shot multiple times in his lower body in the 1700 block of West 21st Street, according to Chicago Police spokeswoman Michelle Tannehill. 

He was taken in an ambulance to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition, Tannehill said. 

Neighbors also reported hearing several shots on West 21st Street at about 2 p.m. Thursday. 

No suspect is in custody, police said. No further information was immediately available.
