RAVENSWOOD MANOR — Following a pair of shots-fired incidents in Lincoln Square, a car in Ravenswood Manor is the latest to get hit with bullets.

The car, parked in the 4500 block of North Mozart Avenue, was hit Friday morning in the front and rear windshields.

According to the owner, the rear windshield was completely shattered. He told DNAinfo via email that he did not hear the gunshots. Other neighbors did and called 911, which helped police pin the timing of the activity to approximately 3:15 a.m., according to Cmdr. Elias Voulgaris of the Albany Park (17th) Police District.

Voulgaris informed residents of the incident via a neighborhood Facebook page.

"At this point we do not know if this is related to the recent incidents occurring near Sunnyside and Rockwell, but we are looking at all possibilities," the commander posted.

"We do believe it was one individual, likely on foot," he said.

In response, Voulgaris said he has increased visible patrols in the area and is restarting the district's traffic enforcement missions in the neighborhood.
