3 Killed, 7 Wounded In Shootings Since Early Tuesday, Police Say

CHICAGO — Shootings left three people dead and another six wounded on the South and West Side between Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning, police said.

Two men were found shot to death in Englewood Monday night, and four others were wounded in shootings in the neighborhood throughout the evening.

Late Tuesday morning, 17-year-old James Moore was found shot to death in Morgan Park.

• At 10:05 p.m. Tuesday night, a 27-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 2600 block of West 64th Street in Chicago Lawn when two men walked up and shot at him, according to a police incident report.

The man was taken to Holy Cross Hospital with a gunshot wound in his left hand, police said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

• Around 5:20 p.m., a 17-year-old was shot in his foot and his leg in the 1400 block of South Pulaski Road in North Lawndale, according to Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The teen was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was "stable," Sweeney said.

Police could not immediately provide any other information on the shooting.

• At 2:15 p.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in his stomach in the 0-100 block of North Pulaski Road in West Garfield Park, Sweeney said.

Police could not immediately provide any other information on the shooting.

No one was in custody for any of the shootings, police said.
