MORGAN PARK — A 17-year-old was found shot to death in Morgan Park late Tuesday morning, police said.

Around 11:40 a.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 10900 block of South Peoria Street, according to Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman. They found the teen unconscious there with multiple gunshot wounds in his body.

The teen was pronounced dead on scene, Sweeney said. 

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified him as James Moore, of the 10800 block of South Sangamon Street.

No one is in custody, police said.
