WICKER PARK —  Columbus' Curry, a fast casual Indian food restaurant started by a former Bollywood actor, has permanently closed, according to a sign in the window that thanks patrons for their support.

Located at 1359 N. Milwaukee Ave., the 50-seat restaurant opened in April 2015.

It closed just before the Fourth of July holiday.

Columbus Curry's co-owner Rahul Bajaj, who ran the restaurant with his wife, Michele, could not immediately be reached for comment.

The 2,500 square-foot spot was listed for rent on July 1st, asking $50 per square foot for the "turn-key" spot with transferable incidental liquor license, digitized menu boards, finished basement and more perks, according to a commercial real estate listing.
