FULTON MARKET — Among some of the city's best restaurants, Shake Shack will open a fourth Chicago-area location in red-hot Fulton Market next year.

The New York-based burger chain has leased space in a building Shapack Partners plans to build at 185 N. Morgan St., a Shake Shack representative confirmed Wednesday. Chicago Real Estate Daily was the first to report the news.

Jeff Shapack, founder of the Fulton Market development firm, said the new single-story building will be constructed by the end of the year. The new building will be located next to the CTA Morgan 'L' station, across the street from trendy Federales and one block south of Google's new Chicago headquarters.

"Shake Shack's lease continues [to show] that these brands want to be in Fulton Market," Shapack said.

The neighborhood is also home to award-winning Au Cheval and Grange Hall Burger Bar, and will soon welcome Umami Burger to the mix.

Shake Shack also operates restaurants in River North, in the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel on Michigan Avenue and in Skokie.
