THE LOOP — Black Dog Gelato and Harvest Juicery are the two latest tenants moving into the Loop's newest food court.

The gelateria and juicery will join Antique Taco, Furious Spoon, and other restaurants at Revival Food Hall, a 14-stall food court opening later this summer at 125 S. Clark St.

Run by Chicago restaurant group 16" On Center, the food court is focusing on local, independent eateries that are uncommon in the Loop. It will be located on the ground floor of a century-old office tower that once was the headquarters of ComEd and later Chicago Public Schools.

"The idea is chefs bring their own neighborhood flavors," Craig Golden, Blue Star's president, said last week. The food court could open as early as next month.

Other tenants include a burger spot called Graze Kitchenette from Sarah Jordan of Johnny's Grill; Danke, a charcuterie and sandwich place from the team behind Table, Donkey, and Stick; Farmer's Fridge; Union Squared pizza; and food truck The Fat Shallot.

The food court will also include a coffee bar with a 43-foot-long former Chicago Public Schools board table, and a record store and reading lounge from independent publisher Curbside Splendor.

Black Dog Gelato opened in 2010 in Ukrainian Village and has since expanded throughout the city. Harvest Juicery was a delivery service before opening a store two years ago in the West Loop.
