Windy City Ribfest Music Lineup Announced

UPTOWN — Too White Crew, Think Floyd and Trippin Billies will headline this year's Windy City Rib Festival held in Uptown on Fourth of July Weekend.

The three-day music and food festival, which also includes kids activities such as art, games and inflatables, will take place near the intersection of Lawrence Avenue and Broadway July 1-3.

This year's vendors include: Aussum Aussie Australian BBQ, BBQ King Smokehouse, Chicago BBQ Company, Rancho Mateo and Texas Lighting BBQ. Visitors will be allowed to vote for their favorite ribs.

The schedule of musical performers is included below:

July 1 (Gates open noon-10 p.m.)

• 5 p.m.: The Personnel (pop/rock)

• 8 p.m.: Too White Crew (hip-hop tribute)

July 2 (Gates open from noon-10 p.m.)

• 2:30 p.m.: Girl Power Band (tribute to female singers and bands)

• 4 p.m.: Run Forrest Run (90s pop)

• 6 p.m.: T.L. Williams (neo-soul/R&B)

• 8 p.m.: Think Floyd (Pink Floyd tribute)

July 3 (Gates open from noon-9 p.m.)

• 2:30 p.m.: Boy Band Review (boy band tribute)

There will be a $5 suggested donation to benefit Business Partners, The Chamber for Uptown.
