West Loop Starbucks Shut Down for High Carbon Monoxide Levels

WEST LOOP — Chicago firefighters were called to a popular West Loop Starbucks after high carbon monoxide levels were reported Thursday afternoon. 

A Chicago Fire hazmat crew was called to the popular Starbucks location, at 1001 W. Madison St., after high carbon monoxide levels were reported at about 1:00 p.m. Thursday , according to the Chicago Fire Department. 

The Starbucks location was temporarily closed, ventilated and was reopened by 1:40 p.m. after Chicago Fire crews left the scene, according to a witness and a Starbucks employee.
