1st Shooting Of Memorial Day Weekend Wounds 18-Year-Old In Little Village

CHICAGO — An 18-year-old man was wounded in a Little Village shooting, police said.

At 9:25 p.m. Friday, the man was standing on a front porch in the 1200 block of West Grenshaw when someone in a dark-colored sedan fired shots at him, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was shot in his legs and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Lemmon said.
