UPTOWN — Uptown will soon be home to a new Cajun-style seafood restaurant.

An owner of the Crazy Crab at 4650 N. Clark St., who declined to give his name, said the restaurant would open on June 1, but was scarce on other details.

The seafood joint will be next door to Bella M'Briana, which opened last November, joining the strip with Tiny Giant Early Learning Center and B&B Cleaners.

Nicholas Russo, manager of Bella M'Briana, 4656 N. Clark St., said the addition is definitely welcome in the neighborhood.

"The locals in the area want more nearby restaurants so they don't have to go to Andersonville or Wrigley," said Russo, who was also told by owners the restaurant would be opening next month.

"It creates foot traffic. ... People will come for seafood and know there's an Italian coffee shop and restaurant next door," he said.
