CHICAGO — This year's Taste of Chicago will feature eats from nearly 70 restaurants, including newcomers Firecakes Donuts, Gus's Fried Chicken and Taco in a Bag.
City officials on Tuesday unveiled the restaurants coming to the annual food festival running from July 6-10 in Grant Park. Admission is free, with samples costing as little as $2.50 each.
"This is a great way to celebrate what we love about our city," Mayor Rahm Emanuel said Tuesday.

The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Music headliners will include The Roots and Billy Idol.
Once again, the festival will feature "pop-up" restaurants from acclaimed Chicago chefs including Graham Elliot and Kevin Hickey. Tickets to the "Celebrity Chef Du Jour" pop-ups are $45 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday on the festival's website.
Taste attractions will also include a "taste kitchen" with live cooking shows, and a podcast stage.
