DOWNTOWN — Beacon Tavern, a new restaurant from the owner of The Gage on Michigan Avenue, will open Tuesday between two of Chicago's most recognizable buildings.
The "sea-meets-land" eatery by Billy Lawless will open at 4 p.m. Tuesday at 405 N. Wabash Ave., between the Wrigley Building and Trump International Hotel & Tower. It's the fourth restaurant from Lawless, who's also behind The Dawson in River West.
Bob Broskey, formerly of Intro in Lincoln Park, is overseeing the menu, which includes air-dried chicken, prime strip loin with butter garlic and thyme, and oysters with house-made hot sauce.
"Our guests can expect a menu loaded with fresh interpretations of tavern classics and seafood-forward dishes and libations, which play heavily on classic American cocktails with a twist," Lawless said in a statement.
The restaurant will serve dinner from 4 p.m. to midnight for now, and debut lunch and brunch after Memorial Day. Check out the menu below:
