Privet Playlot Park Getting Overhaul; Weigh In On The Design

By Mina Bloom | May 16, 2016 6:00am

LINCOLN PARK — Privet Playlot Park is getting an overhaul.

The park, 1884 N. Sheffield Ave., is getting all new playground equipment through the Chicago Park District's Chicago Plays! program. The renovation should be complete sometime later this year, according to Ald. Michele Smith's 43rd Ward office.

Residents are invited to a community meeting to give feedback on the design at Adams Park, 1919 N. Seminary Ave., beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday. The meeting will be hosted by the RANCH Triangle neighborhood group and Smith's office.

Smith said residents are also encouraged to give suggestions on possible improvements not paid for by the park district.

Privet Playlot Park is the latest park in the neighborhood to get an overhaul. Clover Playlot Park and Bauler Park are also undergoing renovations.
