CHICAGO — A shooting in Pilsen left a 29-year-old man wounded on Friday, police said.

At 6:55 p.m., the man was getting out of a car in the 1500 block of West 19th Street when he heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was shot in his right leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Estrada said.

A possible shooter is in custody and charges are pending, police said.
