CHICAGO — A shooting in Washington Park left a 47-year-old man dead on Friday morning, police said.
At 11:55 a.m., officers responding to a report of gunfire found the man in his car in the 5400 block of South Indiana, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.
The man had been shot in his head and was pronounced dead at the scene, Sweeney said.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Michael Harmon, of the 1200 block of West 73rd Street.
No one was in custody in the shooting.
