COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — A West Loop tanning salon owner now faces rape charges in three separate cases, prosecutors confirmed Friday.

Marc Winner, 45, was charged last year with raping and choking a 26-year-old woman after she stopped by Soleil Tanning Salon, 1018 W. Madison St., on Aug. 21.

On Monday, prosecutors re-filed charges against Winner in a 2013 case that was previously dismissed by a Cook County judge. In that case, Winner allegedly attacked a former employee.

Winner was charged in a third rape case Friday — this one stemming from a July 2012 attack, according to Tandra Simonton, a spokeswoman with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office.

In that case, Winner is accused of attacking a 33-year-old customer at his West Loop salon on July 18, 2012. Winner offered the woman a free tan before inviting her and several friends back to his nearby apartment, according to a police report.

The victim fell asleep and woke up to find Winner lying on top of her, raping her, court records show. The victim repeatedly said, "No," the police report said. Winner continued to rape her, and the victim reported the attack six days later.

Winner is slated to appear in bond court Saturday.

Until Friday, he was free on bond for his two other pending rape cases. Winner posted $50,000, or 10 percent of his $500,000 bail, in October, records show.

Prosecutors earlier this year filed a petition asking for an increased bond since they believe Winner "poses a real and present threat to the physical safety of any woman entering the defendant's place of business, Soleil Tanning Salon."  Multiple people claiming to be former salon customers took to social media recently, saying they were sexually harassed by Winner over the years.

Cook County Judge Carol M. Howard upheld the initial bail, but required Winner to adhere to a 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. curfew, court records show.

Though Winner is allowed to work, he can't have unsupervised contact with female customers, the judge ruled. Additionally, he can't use customers' personal contact information for anything other than business purposes.
