PILSEN — A 16-year-old boy was in critical condition after being shot in his chest in Pilsen Monday night, police said.

Just after 9 p.m., the boy was walking in the 1600 block of West 21st Street when someone shot at him out of a passing light-colored SUV, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The boy was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, Pacheco said.

No one is in custody, Pacheco said.
