Pilsen Food Truck Social Returns To 18th Street In June

PILSEN — The street fest that brings together food trucks, live music and Revolution Brewing beer will return to 18th Street in June. 

The 2nd annual Pilsen Food Truck Social, staged on 18th Street at Allport Avenue, will bring more than 25 food trucks to the neighborhood from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 11 and June 12. 

A $20 sampler ticket will allow festivalgoers to try sample-sized portions from any food truck on site, and also sample Revolution beer, wine and spirits. Full-sized food and beverages, including margaritas from Punch House and tamales from Dia De Los Tamales, will also be available for individual cash purchase.

A live music stage at the food truck social, programmed by Thalia Hall's team, will include performances by CumbiaSazo! and Sonorama. The full music and food lineup will be announced in the coming weeks. 

Participants will be asked to give an optional $5 donation upon entering the fest. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Illinois Food Truck Owners Association, ABC Pilsen and the St. Procopius Catholic Church soup kitchen and food bank.

The Pilsen Food Truck Festival is sponsored by Optimum Events, Empty Bottle Presents, Thalia Hall, Revolution Brewing and others.
