Man Walks Into Hospital After Being Shot In Near West Side, Police Say

CHICAGO — A man was shot in the Near West Side on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Police learned of the shooting after the man walked into Mount Sinai Hospital on Wednesday afternoon, said Officer Kevin Quaid, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man, whose age was not immediately known, told detectives he was shot near Jackson Street and Western Avenue at 3:30 p.m., Quaid said. He was struck in his arm and was listed in good condition, he said.

No arrests have been made as the investigation is ongoing, Quaid said.
