CHICAGO — Customers of a St. Louis-area Dunkin' Donuts got a bit of a surprise this week when their drinks were served in cups promoting the Chicago Blackhawks.

The cups saying "official coffee of the Chicago Blackhawks" and prominently displaying the Blackhawks logo were sold at a Kirkwood, Missouri, Dunkin' Donuts early this week, according to KMOV St. Louis.

The Blackhawks began their playoff matchup with the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday in St. Louis.

Dunkin' Donuts chalked the issue up to an "untimely shipping error." The local franchise owner told the St. Louis station in a statement that the business supports the Blues and would stop selling the cups once new ones came in.

The cups were no longer being sold as of Wednesday, according to the station.

Any diehard Blackhawks fans traveling to St. Louis for a game and interested in a unique souvenir should visit the Kirkwood Dunkin' Donuts, 1208 S. Kirkwood Rd.
