NEAR WEST SIDE —Indietronica pop band Passion Pit will headline this year's Old St. Pat's block party, festival organizers announced Thursday.

The band, joined by Oklahoma retro rocker JD McPherson, is expected to bring thousands to the 32nd annual block party at the UIC festival lot June 25.

Tickets, which are $40 in advance or $45 at the gate, go on sale May 16. Two free drink tickets are included in the ticket price.

VIP tickets are also on sale for $90.

Last year, organizers announced that the "world's largest block party," previously staged in front of Old St. Pat's church, would now be staged at the UIC Festival lot on Morgan Street between Taylor Street and Roosevelt Road. Block party organizers decided to move the festival after one of the parking lots the church traditionally used to host the event was sold.

Proceeds from the Old St. Pat's World's Largest Block Party support the mission and outreach activities of Old St. Patrick's Church.
