CHICAGO — A 16-year-old boy was shot in Little Village Thursday night, according to police.

The boy was walking in the 3400 block of West 30th Street at 6:30 p.m. Thursday when a black van pulled up and someone inside opened fire, said Officer Jose Estrada, Chicago Police spokesman.

He was shot in his right thigh and managed to get himself to St. Anthony Hospital, 2875 W. 19th St., where he was listed in good condition, Estrada said.

The boy is a documented gang member, according to police.

No arrests have been made as an investigation is underway.
