CHICAGO — A 17-year-old was shot to death and six other people were wounded, two critically, in shootings around the city between Monday and Tuesday morning, police said.

The teen, a former student at the nearby Taft High School, was found fatally wounded in a Norwood Park parking lot, police said.

Around 10:20 a.m. Monday morning, a 22-year-old man was critically wounded after being shot in his chest in Uptown, police said.

Earlier, police said, a 28-year-old man was shot in his leg in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.

• Most recently, around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, a 45-year-old man was sitting in a car in the 4600 block of South Paulina Street in Back of the Yards when someone walked up and shot at him, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in good condition with a gunshot wound in his leg, Pacheco said.

• At 9:18 p.m. Monday night, Pacheco said, two men were sitting in a car parked in an alley off the 1700 block of West 89th Street in Auburn Gresham when someone pulled up alongside them in a gray SUV and shot at them.

One of the men, 31, was shot in his right arm, right leg and buttocks, Pacheco said. The other man, 33, was shot in his right arm and right leg.

Both men were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, Pacheco said. Police could not provide their conditions but said both men were "stable."

• Around 7 p.m., a 24-year-old man was arguing with two men in the 3800 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue in Bronzeville when one of the men pulled out a gun and shot him in his abdomen, police said.

The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

No one is in custody for any of the shootings, police said.
