CHICAGO — The latest branch of the massive PrivateBank Fire Pitch facility is about to open.

Fire House Fitness, a sports performance and functional fitness center, will open at 3626 N. Talman Ave. on April 1. The facility joins the $20 million, 125,000-square-foot Fire Pitch complex, which includes an indoor practice site for the Chicago Fire Soccer Club and hosts youth and adult rec league games, and Pub 97, a soccer-themed bar and grill.

"I'm very excited to partner with the Chicago Fire but also excited to specialize in sports specific performance," said Neil Curran, Fire House Fitness' managing partner.

Curran, of Uptown and the soccer coach at Francis Parker School, said Fire House Fitness clients will have access to the Fire Pitch complex. He added Fire House Fitness eventually will offer soccer conditioning classes geared to help players' overall performance on the field.

"Our athletes can train under the bubble when weather gets inclement," said Curran, who also co-owns CrossFit CE gym in East Village.

Fire House Fitness will be a "fully stocked functional fitness facility," Curran said, with equipment from Rogue, Again Faster, Keiser, Woodway free running treadmills and bikes.

Pub 97 currently has healthy food options, and Curran said he will be collaborating with higher-ups there to possibly bring more healthy menu items to the table.

PrivateBank Fire Pitch has two full-size outdoor fields from April through November and a 100,000-square-foot dome with multiple field configurations in the winter.
