WICKER PARK —  An untitled dark comedy starring Charlize Theron and Thandie Newton from Amazon Studios will film in Wicker Park's Double Door on Monday, causing parking restrictions until 2 p.m. Tuesday near the neighborhood's iconic music club.

Several blocks along Damen and Wicker Park avenues just south of the main intersection and a small part of Milwaukee Avenue will be off limits to parking due to movie filming, according to posted signs from Picrow Features, Inc.

Along with actors David Oyelowo, Joel Edgerton and Amanda Seyfried, Theron and Newtown are among the cast of Australian Director Nash Edgerton's new untitled feature-length film, which kicked off its Chicago filming last Monday in Logan Square.

A location manager from Picrow Films said Monday that the Double Door at 1572 N. Milwaukee Ave. will be used as a film set but did not elaborate on the scene or scenes set to be filmed there or which actors could be onsite.

The plot details of Edgerton's new movie, which was written by Anthony Tambakis and Matt Stone, have been kept under wraps, Deadline reports.

Edgerton, a former stunt man, has also directed stunts in "The Matrix," The Matrix Reloaded" and "Superman Returns," according to IMDb.

In addition to the no parking zones mentioned on the flier, the west side of Wicker Park Avenue, from Damen Avenue to Honore Street, was also bearing no parking signs for the movie filming early Monday.

The posted fliers prohibit parking on the east side of Damen Avenue from Milwaukee Avenue to Schiller Street and on the north side of Schiller Street from Damen to Wicker Park Avenue.

On Milwaukee Avenue, parking is restricted from 5 p.m. Monday to 2 p.m. Tuesday in front of the Double Door, from 1572 N. Milwaukee Ave. extending south to 1550 N. Milwaukee Ave.
