CHICAGO — Six people have been hurt in shootings since Saturday, police said.
• Most recently, at 3:20 a.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in Garfield Park, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman. The man was getting into a parked car in the 3300 block of West Van Buren Street when a man in a tan sedan drove past and fired shots at the victim.
The man was shot in his left thigh and was taken to Rush University Medical Center by a friend. He was in "stable" condition, Estrada said.
• At 3 a.m., a 26-year-old man was shot in the South Loop, Estrada said.
• At 10:35 p.m. Saturday, two people were shot while standing on a front porch in Little Village, Estrada said.
• At 10:30 p.m., a 17-year-old was shot in Garfield Park, Estrada said. The teen was standing on the sidewalk in the 400 block of South Springfield Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain.
The teen was shot in his chest and left arm and was taken to Stroger Hospital by a family member. He was in "stable" condition, Estrada said.
• At 10:10 p.m., a 35-year-old man was shot in Roseland, Estrada said. The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 10000 block of South State Street when two men walked up to him and fired shots at him.
The man was shot in his left hand and was taken to Roseland Community Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition, Estrada said.
No one was in custody in these shootings.
