By Kelly Bauer | March 6, 2016 10:47am

CHICAGO — A 26-year-old man was shot and wounded in the South Loop early Sunday, police said.

At 3 a.m., the man was walking on the sidewalk with a woman in the 0-100 block of East 11th Street when they heard shots and the man felt pain, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was shot in his upper left arm and the woman drove him to 18th and State, where they called 911, Estrada said. Chicago Fire Department officials responded and drove the man to Northwestern Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition, Estrada said.

No one was in custody.
