BRIGHTON PARK — Another neighborhood business has stepped forward to help out the students of Burroughs School, where someone recently pilfered 30 iPads.
Less than a week after ComEd donated $10,000 to buy the students new Google Chromebooks, Tripp Lite wants to make another donation: A Chromebook charging station.
"Tripp Lite recognizes the importance of technology in the classroom and was disappointed to learn about the iPads that were stolen from Burroughs Elementary," said Gloria Wong, Tripp Lite's public relations manager.
After hearing about ComEd's donation, Tripp Lite wanted to help by donating a charging station with locking steel doors to prevent theft and tampering.
"It’s a simple way to protect a valuable investment for the students," Wong said.
