It's a Girl: Ald. Pawar and Wife Charna Epstein Welcome Their First Baby

LINCOLN SQUARE — Ald. Ameya Pawar (47th) has a new title: Dad.

Baby makes three for the alderman and his wife Charna Epstein who announced the birth of their daughter, named Sigalit Koufax Epstein-Pawar.

Sigalit means "violet flower" in Hebrew and the newborn shares the name with the highly respected Israeli artist Sigalit Landau.

The infant's middle name pays tribute to Sandy Koufax.
