The man was a documented gang member, police said.

The man was identified as Jonathan Luna, of the 3800 block of South Damen, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Luna was pronounced dead at 8:15 p.m. of multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.

Early Wednesday at 12:40 a.m., a 31-year-old man was a shot in the 2100 block of South Leavitt Street when another vehicle drove up and someone fired shots into the man's vehicle, Pacheco said.
