ANDERSONVILLE — After years of baking gluten-free desserts in shared kitchens, Johanna Van Dorf will serve her neighbors treats from her very own bakery Sunday.

From 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Valentine's Day, Defloured, at 1477 W. Balmoral Ave. will be giving out samples, champagne and sparkling cider and more to celebrate its grand opening. The bakery will officially open Wednesday.

Van Dorf, who previously worked in marketing before making a career change to own her own bakery, began selling her gluten-free deserts at the Andersonville Farmer's Market. Her products are also sold in select Whole Foods stores.

Defloured boasts a vast array of 100 percent gluten-free treats including cookies, cakes, cupcakes, bars and whoopie pies. Its full menu is available here.

The site formerly housed Hoppin' Hots and Great Lake Pizza, which closed in January 2013 and was once proclaimed to have America's best slice of pizza.
