CHICAGO — The city's pet owners can get their furry friends spayed or neutered for free in February.
PAWS Chicago, a no-kill animal humane organization, is offering free spay and neuter services throughout the month for Chicago residents with a state-issued medical card. Other people will be able to get the same services at a reduced price.
Owners can also get rabies vaccinations for their pets at a discounted price of $9 throughout the months.
The offers are part of National Spay/Neuter Month to prevent "unwanted litters from being born," according to PAWS.
Appointments are required. Call 773-521-7729 to set up an appointment.
